Review : Check the Pricing on Lego.com First.
No problems with the set, FANTASTIC! Definitely invest in the Power Functions Kit to accompany this, it comes with instructions for adding a motor. I purchased this on Amazon, only to have it arrive already being opened before. Wanted to get a replacement, but browsed Lego.com and saw it for $79.99. The prices will always be better there unless you're looking for a retired or international set. Unless you HAVE to have it right away (I wanted it quick with Prime shipping), save yourself a LOT of money by going to the manufacturer for Lego stuff.
That being said, stick to the age requirements. There are complex gearings and designs that will confound and confuse younger builders. It does come with some really cool rare parts like the metal pistons, which I think are worth getting themselves...along with the tank-like track system.
