Review : Solid Game
This game has been around for 10 years. It is a unique game that looks like a war game, but is more of a Euro Game. What makes this game unique is the Cube Tower Mechanic.
It has direct conflict, but constant warfare will not behoove you. It has an auction, role section, and resource management elements. (It is somewhat a area control game.)
This is not a gateway game, but nor is it the most complicated table top game on the market. It comes with two expansions, which I have not touched. In fact the game is so solid that I can't see it ever needed the expansions, but it is nice they included it.
The components are very nice. Most of the pieces are either made from wood or thick card stock. The cube tower is a thing to behold.
You first game will be longish. I'd say 45 minutes per player the first couple of games, but you can get it down to 30 - 35 minutes per player. A must buy for serious game players.
