Review : A great set for those looking to get their feet wet.
I was really on the fence about Warhammer 40K... it looked like a lot of fun, but the hobby side of of it had me a little worried. Thus I bought this little kit first to see if miniature building and painting was for me.
First and foremomst, the included paints won't allow you to paint the models you see on the box. If you look closely you'll see a little bit of green paint on one guy's helmet. Is this a big deal? Not to me, but you think they wouldn't have shown something the kit isn't capable of reproducing.
But what it can produce is actually very nice. The marines come in three seperate pieces and a base they fit onto. They are simple enough that you don't need any instructions to put them together but they give them to you anyway. The kit also contains step by step instructions on how to paint your miniatures.
